Propagation Experiment: air-layering bamboo

I wanted to propagate this bamboo(dendrocalamuis giganteus - quail clone) as soon as possible but its too young to take cuttings or root divisions. Instead, I decided to try air-layering it. This way, the branches remain on the plant to help develop the existing clump and hopefully I can cut them off later when more shoot emerge. We'll see what happens...
