This is honestly one of the most important tricks I’ve ever taught on this channel because it is how professional producers show their skill And as always, I personally guarantee that if you watch this entire video from beginning to end without missing any piece of information shared in this video, your songs will come out sounding at least 20% better and more professional just by applying the methods you will learn over the next 5 or so minutes. Today's lesson is about how to professionally transition from one section of your song to another in the cleanest, nicest-on-the-ear, possible way. The way we do this is by moving some instruments around and adding little pieces of ear candy to dress up the transition. So I know I mentioned that this is one of the most important ways that professional producers show their skill and that is because it truly is. The reason for this is because it is how you make your song breath. Transitions tie your song together so that the arrangement can breathe and come alive and without being able to come alive, your song will sound dead. Good transitions also help with tension and release So now, let’s get into the good stuff. I’m going to build two transitions for you and not just any transitions. The transitions I’m going to show you are my two all-time favorite transitions to build and they are the transition from the verse into the bridge, and the transition out of the first drop or chorus. The reason I like these two transitions specifically is that at both of these times, your song goes from high energy to low energy. So a nice tensiony part of your song, to a light exhale part of your song. Here is the first transition we are going to build with the ear candy FX ————- Now here it is again, without the ear candy FX ————-- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- INSTAGRAM: @AlexRomeSound
