Pontiac dash lights easily burn out (Early 2000 models)

The bulbs GM used in these dashes are very susceptible to failure, especially when the dash is disassembled and something is serviced. Basically the vibration from working on the dash will cause lights to stop working. The worst part is, the bulbs are not serviceable. They're soldered onto the circuit board and basically require putting in a new unit. My advice in a situation where the display on the radio is gone, just buy an after market head unit.
